Folklore from Scandinavia enjoys great popularity. Ingo Fankhauser presents in his collection nine arrangements of folk songs from Denmark, Sweden and Norway. The different characters of the melodies are carved out by the multi-variant interpretation. Besides a melody accompanied by a chordal set in one piece, imitations of the song throughout all voices can be found in a pseudo dialogue between the involved instruments in another piece.The 4 to 5 part sets are very suitable for ensemble play not only with recorders (Snino/S/A/T/B) but also for a mixed setting with melody instruments in the respective register.
