Hedwig Schröder has also devoted herself to education as a composer. Her ‘Spielereien’ (gimmicks) are destined for middle school music students.
Hedwig Schröder was a music teacher in Husum. She committed herself to the musical training and development of young people. In 1971, she founded the regional competition Westküste from “Jugend musiziert” and was chairman of the Regional Committee for many years.

The multi-volume Contempore series offers the advanced student as well as the professional musician plenty of material for studying and lecturing well-known and not yet well-known contemporary composers. The first part of the series is devoted to the instrument recorder, a second different chamber music ensembles.
