Molter was one of the most prolific composers of instrumental music in the 18th century. His compositional style was initially influenced by the Italian music. He also incorporated elements from France. Since he lived at Eisenach he made himself close to the central German composers such as Georg Philipp Telemann and Johann Bernhard Bach noticeable. His compositions have an identify development from late aroque to the galant style. This is to find also in the present composition. Ed. Zahn, Grete
