Fernand Racine arranged eight popular Swiss dances, folk and children’s songs for two violins. The instruments accompany each other in turn, play a “question-and-answer” game or compete for the melody transfer in a playful manner. The duets are of medium difficulty. Some are also intended for an alternate setting with flutes. All pieces are very suitable for education and can be played by teacher and pupil or two pupils. The musically attractive arrangements can be recommended for the concert setting.
