“Anna’s Garden” is based on the old Swiss folk song “Anneli wo bisch geschter gsi”. Anna asserts that she is picking only roses and marjoram behind the house. Of course, this flower garden stands for the blossoming love, which we know so encoded already from the time of the early medieval lyrics. Anna’s imagination knows no boundaries and so soon the most exotic fruits grow in her garden.
