Jürg Kindle

Jürg Kindle was born in Glarus in 1960. He was educated at the teachers guitar college in Rorschach ans studied classic guitar. From 1990 to 2010 he was guitar and mandolin teacher in St.Gallen,
Ensemble director and founder of the guitar orchestras “Kalimba” and “Guitarrissimo”. At the same time he took over the conception and management of school house concerts in the city of St.Gallen. In 1990, Kindle founded the Department of Musical Elementary Schools at the Jugendmusikschule St.Gallen. From 1993 to 1999, he was a member of the board of the Swiss Working Community for Youth and Music (SAJM) and, at the same time, President of the Eastern part of Switzerland Section of the Swiss Music Educational Association (SMPV). Since 2006 he is a lecturer at the Pädagogische Hochschule in Rorschach (Switzerland). At the same time, he devotes himself intensively to composing. In particular, his works for guitars and his pedagogic books belong to the standard repertoire of contemporary guitar lessons.
