Hyanbae Lee

Hyunbae Lee was born in Busan (South Korea) in 1980.
He came to Germany in 2007 and initially studied composition in Berlin with Helmut Zapf, before moving to
the Louis Spohr Music Academy in Kassel to study with
Frank Gerhardt. He is currently studying instrumental
composition with Gerhardt Müller-Hornbach and electronic composition with Orm Finenndahl at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt/Main.
Notably, his piece “Musik für Klarinette mit Elektronik
Nr. 1 Fuga” has already been performed several times.
The fact that he has been awarded the composition prize
from the Society for Christian-Jewish Cooperation for
his work RGB – Music for Orchestra Groups is a tribute
to his pioneering style of composition.
