André Herteux

André Herteux, born in 1981 in the Franconian town of Lohr am Main, was initially a student of Johannes Tappert at the Berufsfachschule für Musik in Bad Königshofen and later studied guitar with Clemer Andreotti and Prof. Jürgen Ruck at the Hochschule für Musik in Würzburg. In the course of an additional study, he received composition lessons with Chris Beier, whose musical understanding influenced him very much. Herteux is artistically active as an executive guitarist as well as an arranger and composer. He performs regularly as a soloist with various ensembles, several CD recordings and radio recordings have been produced so far. His arrangements and compositions are often commissional pieces and are performed national and abroad. In 2016, he recieved a first prize at the 28th Siegburg Composition Competition.

André Herteux teaches guitar at the Hochschule für Musik in Nuremberg and is a guitar teacher at the musical Labenwolf high school in the city of Nuremberg. In addition, he conducts regular training courses and seminars.
