The sonata no. 10 is originated from Bonis op. 2. The date of origin is not known, but has to be between 1717 and 1741.
The title of the original edition indicates that the sonata was intended for a melody instrument (violin, flute or mandolin) and general bass (violone, cembalo).
The sonata is full of Baroque beauty. His contemporaries praised Boni’s compositional art and placed it stylistically and structurally close to Arcangelo Corelli.
